Over the years, the two families who own and run Latigo Dude Ranch have been pleasing with their attention to detail. With the help of a well-trained and caring staff, they have found a way to strike a balance between a ranch experience and vacation comfort. Their low-key approach without intrusiveness helps you enjoy simple, memorable times without daily hassles. Small duplex cabins tucked into the woods bring a welcome degree of comfort without being overly plush. After spending all day building your appetite, you'll truly enjoy sitting down for gourmet food in the common dining room. You won't go away hungry.
In summer the ranch focuses on horseback riding, with wranglers who manage to match your riding skills with one of their sixty horses. Be sure to try a breakfast or sunset ride sometime during your stay, experienced riders should inquire about going on an actual cattle roundup. Other summer activities include fishing, white-water rafting, hay rides and nature walks - however, guests are not railroaded into participating if they'd rather just hang out by the pool and enjoy the setting. In winter, cross-country skiing on thirty-five kilometers of groomed trails and snowshoeing on backcountry trails remain the most popular activities. Special photo workshop and other programs are available.
