"We’ve been to Latigo five times since 2001, three years in a row since 2007.  We’ve been in early June, late July, and early September.  Each season is different and has its own special allure.  However, there are many elements of the Latigo experience that, regardless of the season, never change.

The owners and hosts, Kathie and Jim Yost, and Lisa and Randy George, along with their families, wranglers and entire staff, are welcoming, friendly, and accommodating in every way.  The ranch’s atmosphere is relaxed but the operation is entirely professional.  There is nothing contrived or pretentious about Latigo.  Everything about the ranch and the people who work there is genuine.  The Latigo folks have been in the guest ranch business for years and it clearly shows.

Their attentiveness to their guests’ riding abilities and preferences make for a truly enjoyable week on horseback.  The wranglers are both skilled and knowledgeable.  Latigo’s horses are well-trained and well cared for.  Latigo’s impressive trails offer spectacular panoramic views, quiet forests, and mountain meadows, with wildlife sightings on virtually every ride.

The food is plentiful, delicious, and healthy.  There are main course choices for every meal.  Fresh fruits and vegetables, along with homemade breads and desserts, make every meal extra special.

Through the years, before we discovered Latigo, we had stayed at ranches in Arizona, Montana, and British Columbia.  None has compared to Latigo.  We usually take one vacation each year and Latigo is it."
