Wild Turkeys

Wild Turkeys

We’ve had a very mild January in Latigo standards; afternoon temperatures often in the 30s and not a new snowflake to be found. Not only have we found it very pleasant, but the wildlife has as well. Early last week, Nate was grooming ski trails and saw two moose hanging out by the snowcat shop just beyond the summer dinner cookout site. This morning as we were coming back from errands in Kremmling, we were stopped on Red Dirt Road by this flock of wild turkeys. I had seen turkey tracks on a ski trail just yesterday morning, but that was miles away from this group. This spot on the road is often where we’ll see turkeys in the summer, so it was a real treat today to watch them saunter along.

‘Thank you’ just seems so inadequate…It was honestly one of the best vacations I can remember.

We loved Latigo Ranch! It was our best vacation ever! Cabins were comfortable, food was scrumptious and the wranglers were wonderful.
