If you're looking to go horseback riding in Colorado, Latigo Ranch just outside of Kremmling is the place for you. You will be assigned your mount from our herd of 80 horses. We match the horse and rider according to ability, physical requirements, and temperament; to teach you how to ride well and to give you a chance to experience horseback riding as a life-long affair. Trail conditions determine how fast you'll be able to go during your ride; Latigo Ranch offers a wide range of trail types, from flat open meadows and sagebrush country to meandering streams, aspen groves, and pine forests. Throughout the week, we offer trips for riders of similar experience. However, we also select some rides for families. Other than trail rides, we also offer a challenging overnight pack trip, options to work with cattle, a breakfast ride, and many more activities. It’s the best you’ll find around Kremmling, Colorado. Learning to control your horse is essential, which is why we'll help you improve your horsemanship with instruction in the arena and on the trail. Latigo Ranch welcomes guests of every level, from those who've never touched a horse before to world champion riders and everything in between. We have even had guests who were fearful of horses or didn't want to ride, by the end of the week, they're riding in style and best friends with their new four legged-companion. Our wranglers will help you accomplish that, we strive for teaching every rider to be able to lope by the end of their stay at Latigo Ranch, honoring the history and legacy of the horsemen who built the West and Colorado as we know it today. That being said, if you're not comfortable loping up to high vistas, you don't have too. This is about your experience, your needs, and the best vacation you could ask for.
